What is Massage Therapy?

Massage therapy involves the manipulation of soft tissues in one’s body with the aim of preventing dysfunctions and restoring a healthy bodily state. Massage therapy has a dozen of different techniques for keeping one’s muscles healthy and functioning properly as well as for recovering from injuries in a shorter duration of time.  Massage Therapyis a holistic procedure that affects all systems of the body, such as digestive, excretory, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic, endocrine, and nervous systems. In can be used in both acute and chronic stages of conditions and can be beneficial for individuals of all ages.

What to expect on your first visit?

Your first visit to one of our licensed massage therapists will involve an initial assessment including a complete health history and physical examination. This assessment is designed to determine the source of one’s symptoms and the best approach to treat them. Based on this initial visit and one’s personal goals, the licensed massage therapist will establish an appropriate treatment plan for the particular patient.
